Past Life Regression and Hypnosis

Jan 11, 2008 by Michele Cunningham
Several years back a friend of mine sought out Dr. Rozzi for a Past Life Regression Therapy session as a gift for my birthday. My friend knew that I was interested in such a session and I was eager to learn what it was all about. With in a few weeks of receiving my gift certificate I was scheduled for my first appointment with Dr. Rozzi. This would prove to be a very interesting day for me.

I entered Dr. Rozzi's cozy office to find a man who was not only warm and cheerful, but gifted in his field of metaphysics and hypnosis. I entered curious, and with a healthy dose of skepticism, and left with a peaceful mind and an even larger hunger for what I felt I had to learn from my experience. My session was almost three hours long; as Dr. Rozzi compassionately answered any questions I had regarding my anticipated session. He quelled my fears and answered all of my questions and eagerly spoke with me about his own journey into this interesting field before we began.

As most people, I had the wrong idea of what hypnosis is. The session itself is much like a very deep state of relaxation or trance like/ meditative state. It is not a state where you do not have control or know what is happening.

I was assisted in a journey that brought me back to what I believe is a former life of mine. As I was gently asked to focus on looking at my feet in my hypnotic state, I saw a very different set of feet than I am used to seeing. They were that of a Native American males and I was standing on rolling hills, peering out at a remarkable blue summer sky in a place that is not familiar to me in this life. I was aware of being in 2 places at the same time; Dr. Rozzi's office and this beautiful homeland of mine in a different life time. The session went on to reveal traumatic events such as a battle where I was wounded in the shoulder, warm and respecting relationships with my male peers and elders, seeing where I lived and the people that shared my village, and my peaceful death that occurred after a long journey to a great ravine overlooking a river below and great mountains on the other side.

That day lives on in my memory still. I have shared the intensity of it with great enthusiasm with many over the years. If ever you wish to learn more of my own personal experience with this therapy, I would be happy to share it with you when I see you! I feel that I gained much wisdom into my purpose as a spiritual being.

I have referred many friends and clients to Dr. Rozzi for Past Life Regression Therapy as well as smoking cessation and many other issues. All of whom have been extremely happy with their experiences. It is my hope that many of you reading this will find your way into Dr. Rozzi's office for a comfortable and intriguing visit and to find yourself back on your path toward a more healthy you; mind, body and spirit.

If you are interested in past life regression may I also suggest reading "Many Lives Many Masters" by Brian L. Weiss, MD. You may read about him here: http://www.brianweiss.com/

It is with my pleasure to introduce to you, Dr. Ronald Rozzi

Bio: Dr. Ronald P. Rozzi Ms.D., RHy.

After watching my first wife pass away at the tender age of 25 back in 1977 a deep interest and curiosity developed within me relative to not only complimentary health care options which we never looked into, but life itself and what it was all about. This included the concept of death which was thrust upon me at an early age. For years I devoured various self-help books, tapes and attended seminars and workshops on human potential. I learned many things, most importantly how we are really self-healing beings and the power we have to change our current circumstances whether it be sickness to health, or poverty to wealth is awesome. What I was learning was ringing truth to me and I wanted to help others understand this too. I wanted to help people help themselves.

My appetite at this point was multi-faceted. I needed to come to terms with this death thing that took my wife. To know life is to know death, so the field of metaphysics became an overpowering force looking to express it's truth through me. I found the College of Divine Metaphysics in California and took a 3 year doctoral program on the subject and close to the time when I was to get my degree, I fell onto the Hypnodyne Foundation in Florida that offered certification in the field of Hypnosis. I felt the two fields were a good compliment so I became certified shortly before I received my doctorate in Metaphysics.

In 1993 with my new Hypnotherapist certification in hand I opened my first private practice in Henrietta, NY. Now I could help people with various individual challenges using a modality that, although wasn't overly popular, was at least recognized as a viable option that had met success in different areas. In 1994 I received my Doctorate in Metaphysics and I could now incorporate my knowledge of Universal Law when counseling individuals and also utilize hypnosis as a tool to make changes.

As I worked over the years, wanting to share and teach was important to me so I put together a few programs to offer Continuing Education for adults. I taught a few years in both Rush-Henrietta and Greece School Districts. I became certified as an instructor for basic hypnotherapy so that I could teach others who might want to do this work as well. I also became certified in Past-Life Regression work which I felt was an important link to peoples' life story. More talks and workshops came as a result of this interesting field.

Currently I do mostly referral work through a few doctors, colleagues and some past clients. My passion now is focused on teaching in the field of Deliberate Creation. I'm offering talks and workshops to schools and organizations on the power of the mind and creating our lives by intention instead of default. I feel it's so important to get this message out to especially the younger people so they don't get caught up into the old ideas and habits of what the world expects of them, and what they can have and not have. Of course my message, which isn't really mine is for anyone, whenever they are ready, to remember who they really are.

Due to the nature of the work my sessions are "open-ended" where there is really no time limit imposed. The first session is generally the longest where building a relationship with the client is important with educating them thoroughly about what will and will not take place. That session is generally at least 2 hours. Subsequent sessions may be less.

Fees are $125 per session however I have packaged session rates for those that need more than one. This saves them considerable money and is paid at the first session.

3-session package $300 (recommended for smoking cessation)
5-session package $525 (recommended for weight management over 25 lbs.)

I also offer Past-Life Regression Home Parties. This has been a real hit in the past and is fun for many. One person will "host" a party with 5 or more people and I will come to their home. There is no charge for the host or hostess. Everyone else pays $30.00. If anyone in the group wants to do a one-on-one session with me at another time, I will deduct the $30.00 when they come to my office and their price would be $95.00. This event generally is at least 3 hours in length and can be quite an eye-opener for some. It is advised however to eliminate children and distractions from the area.

Making Time For Our Health and Wellness; Yoga

Sep 13, 2007 by Michele Cunningham
I am a proponent for good health. The means by which we achieve this goal are varied and sometimes obscured by the overwhelming amount of information out there on holistic health and alternative medicine. My goal is to high light one healing modality at a time. My focus for you today is on yoga because it meets the requirements of good health for mind and body simultaneously. My hope is for you to experience the benefits for yourself!

We live in an age of hectic rigid schedules, and time doesn't always lend itself to taking care of our health, right? In fact we do have the ability to make time for what ever we deem most important in our lives. What is at the top of your priority list? Is your health even remotely close? If we so choose, we can easily make our health and well being our number one priority. How many hours do you waste watching television or surfing the net, filling your head with needless things while your body deteriorates? All you need is an hour and a half of your time devoted to healthy practices each day. That's not much to change in a single day. It is scientifically proven that by making these changes to your life-style, you will in turn have more energy as well as a healthier mind and body.

The most important thing is to choose a few healing modalities of interest to you and try them. Stay with them and be consistent in your practice. Remember that if you want to effect positive change, you need only stick with something that draws your attention. Yoga draws my attention and I've benefited from it tremendously, so I will share the benefits of this healing modality with you.

Yoga and its Benefits

What is Yoga?

Yoga is a system of self healing that originated in India. It has its root in Hinduism and Brahmanism, although you do not have to seek the spiritual aspects of yoga as did it's originators to benefit from the practice. The word Yoga comes from the Sanskrit word 'yuj' meaning to yoke, join or unite. On the spiritual plane, it means union of the self with that of the universe. Yoga is the union of body, mind, emotions and intellect. Yoga is the practice of getting into specific body postures and using specific breath control.

There are many styles of yoga to choose from. I will focus here on one particular discipline called Iyengar Yoga. Iyengar Yoga is distinguished from other styles of yoga mainly by three key elements: technique, sequence and timing.
  • Technique
By practicing yoga one learns finer adjustments in the alignment of how one performs Asana and Pranayama. Asana refers to posture and pranayama refers to breath control.

  • Sequence
Refers to the order in which asana and pranayama are practiced.

  • Timing
Refers to the length of time spent in postures and on specific breathing.

What are the benefits of Yoga?
  • Increasing Flexibility
As we learn the Asana's and Pranayama's, this control of our body acts to facilitate stretching and strengthening of the muscle, tendons and bones.

  • Massaging of all of the Organs in the body
Our breath control while in specific postures helps to reach all of the tissues in our body, including our organs. This stimulation of the organs in turn benefits us by helping to prevent disease. One of the long lasting benefits of Yoga is that it builds and awareness in us of our own body.

  • Detoxification
By stretching muscles and joints as well as massaging organs, Yoga enhances our cardiovascular and lymphatic systems so that they may work more efficiently, in turn flushing out toxins and providing oxygen and nutrients that our bodies need. This leads to benefits such as delayed aging, enhanced energy, a happier emotional state, and a healthy mind.

  • Muscular Tone
By keeping a regimented practice our bodies benefit by building muscle strength which in turn gives us the enhanced appearance of a tone body.
I have also included my favorite Yoga instructor here so that you may have easy access to beginning your new practice or enhancing your already existing healthy regiment. Peace and wellness to you all!

May I please introduce to you, Carrie Hersocovici!

Carrie has studied yoga since 1996, dedicating herself to intense independent practice, research and study. She has studied Hatha Yoga, Shivanada, and Iyengar Yoga in Los Angeles under yoga masters and mentors Steve Ross, Matthew Reyes, Bryan Kest and Ish Moran. Her yoga philosophy and dedication recently led her to India where she continued her study of yoga under yoga guru Senthil Kumar. Carries next training in India is January 2008.

Carrie's teaching style motivates her students to feel cared for as she inspires them to share the magic of yoga. Her compassion for people helps her students to feel content in their own bodies through their own yoga practice.

"I came to yoga seeking a fun form of exercise and my practice quickly became a sacred time of renewal and exploration. Ten years later, I gratefully go to my mat daily because I know the tremendous healing, rejuvenating and transforming powers of yoga. It is my primary objective to help students come to know that yoga will organically heal and guide them. Yoga is a beautiful continual process that grows and changes each day, and as a teacher it is my job to help students become comfortable where they are in the moment, and enjoy the journey together."

With people searching for more ways to feel relaxed, peaceful and calm, both in their body, mind and soul, it is not surprising how much the practice of yoga has grown in the West. Her classes provide a stimulating and safe environment to relax and begin to release pent up stress, emotion and anxiety through stretching, breathing and movement. Carrie's instruction helps students to develop strength, flexibility, and balance in order to live a healthier, happier and more peaceful life. She is experienced in leading group classes, and also offers private sessions.
