Reopening and how you can help with Gift Certificates

Dec 12, 2020 by Michele Cunningham
Hello Rochester!

Our test positivity rate is now at 8.3% 7 day rolling average. Not good. In fact, currently the worst in New York State. Please keep our community safe by continuing to follow all safety guidelines such as wearing masks, washing hands, not gathering in groups, and not going out unless for emergencies.

However, with new data coming out for our state regarding spread, it appears to be that the spread is primarily being driven by household gatherings, and not by services following all CDC guidelines and NYS mandates. This does not mean that it's not possible to transmit by giving or getting a massage, rather the whole of the transmission does not appear to be coming from services such as massage.

We at Healing Haven will be reopening our doors at a very limited capacity starting Monday December 14th, and monitoring our therapists by testing more frequently than the previous bi weekly mandate.

We anticipate opening and closing depending on Monroe County community responsibility and continue to keep the public aware of our current status as it shifts and changes to accommodate for safety.

Thank you for your patience and for your support! We could not do this without you!

One of the major ways that you have contributed to our business staying afloat, has been the purchase of gift certificates. As we have only been open for operation about 4 and a half months out of the entire year of 2020 and only at staggeringly low capacity, it has been a challenge to keep our doors open, and only because of our loyal clientele base and by purchasers such as yourself of gift certificates.

Christmas is just around the corner, and massage is the best possible gift for anyone! This year, it also helps us by keeping our doors open long term.
Please call for your Gift Certificates; our doors are locked during the pandemic for safety measures, and you won't be able to just walk in to purchase. Please call us to order your gift card and we will get your gift certificates ready and send them out to you in the mail, or we can arrange a pick up date/time.

Thank you, Rochester! We love you! Stay safe, happy and healthy and Happy Holidays!

COVID-19 Test Positivity Monroe County and HHM&W

Nov 21, 2020 by Michele Cunningham
Hello Rochester community.

We hope you are doing well; happy, healthy and doing your part to keep Rochester safe.

In the last month since mid October, here in Monroe County, Rochester, NY., we have seen our test positivity rate of infection for CV-19 go from the best in the country per 500 thousand people at a 1.1% rate of infection to 4.4%.

It is for this reason, we are temporarily closing our doors Wednesday Nov 25th, the day before Thanksgiving, to do our part to keep our clientele and our therapists safe and healthy. As we approach a dangerous # of infections and cannot do our job less than 6 feet apart, we have made the decision pause our business. We will be keeping a close eye on the infection rate the 2 to 3 weeks following Thanksgiving and give updates on our Open for massage status.

We are here for you to answer questions and book out future appointments (CV-19 closure dependent). We are also able to mail out your holiday gift cards (which will have no expiration due to the pandemic).

Please do call us. We look forward to hearing from you and helping you with your health and wellness care!

Keep Rochester Safe; wear a face mask in all public situations, even outdoors, keep social distance, wash your hands, and don't touch your face. Follow CDC recommendations for not gathering with anyone who is outside of your daily living bubble.

CDC has issued a no travel advisory. If you must travel (only for emergencies), test within 3 days before departure, quarantine for 3 days upon arrival, test again on 4th day. If you are unable to follow test protocols for NYS, you must quarantine for 14 days.

We can do this Rochester!
